Poland Fellowships – “Schwerpunkt Polen”

Poland Fellowships are awarded under the aegis of the President of the University and overseen by the International Office.

A unique academic institution in Germany, its mission is to promote interdisciplinary scholarly cooperation between German and Polish faculty and students.

For each semester, Polish scholars may be appointed as fellows at JGU for periods of six weeks or four months.

The Polish guests are integrated into the departments, where they offer lectures, seminars, and colloquiums about their subjects either in German, Polish or in English.

Until today, 85 Polish scholars have been invited, largely from the humanities, but also the natural sciences and the fine arts.
