Language Classes

JGU offers Online German Language Classes for Students, Doctoral Students, Postdocs, Visiting Scientists, and Staff.

For more information please refer to the website of the International Language and Study Center (ISSK).For foreign exchange scientists / scholars there's the possibility to obtain a scholarship for a language course.

Digital Intensive-German Language Course A1.1 for Doctoral Students, Postdocs, Visiting Scholars, and Employees of JGU Winter Semester 2021

- in cooperation with the International Preparatory and Language Center ISSK -

This course is designed for absolute beginners and provides you with a basic knowledge of German. It contains grammar exercises and intensive training of all skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking), aiming at helping you to understand and speak the everyday language. Information on German culture will be provided to facilitate integration into university life and German society in general.
The course is taught in live online classes. Active participation in the classroom is required. Participants need a device with a microphone and a camera.

From 18.10.2021 until 08.12.2021
Monday and Wednesday always from 5:30 pm until 20:00 pm

The number of places in the language courses is limited to a maximum of 30 to ensure an effective work environment. There is no entitlement to a place in the language course.The course is designed and conducted by ISSK teachers. You’ll be notified in time if you can attend the course by the International Office.
