Erasmus+ Staff Mobility

The Erasmus+ program of the European Union does not only fund mobility of students and lectureres but supports all JGU staff who want to go abroad. These international experiences help to strengthen JGU’s internationalization in all areas, including central and departmental administration, by fostering its staff members‘ international skills.

General Information

All academic and non-academic staff members are entitled to participate in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program and receive financial support for stays at JGU’s Erasmus+ partner institutions or other institutions or companies abroad for the following activities:

  • work shadowing to get to know tasks and processes at a foreign institution in a similar work area as one’s job at JGU
  • participating in curriculum development (lecturers)
  • attending workshops and seminars
  • attending language classes
  • accompanying student excursions (if there is a benefit for either JGU or the participant)

The attendance of conferences abroad can be funded only in special cases and after approval of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility team.

It is the participant’s duty to contact their preferred host institution as well as to plan and organize their stay.
More detailed information about planning and implementing staff mobilities, along with all the required forms, can be found in the download section or on our German website.

If you have trouble understanding the forms or website in German, please feel free to contact the Erasmus+ staff mobility team anytime for assistance.
